New Reception and replacement office facilities at existing factory unit in Stone, Staffordshire.
Planning permission for the proposed new statement building located on a prominent junction on the A34 to the south of Stone was obtained in 2003. The propsed new building will include new office accommodation and meeting and conference facilities located either side of an impressive full height atrium style reception area. The reception space includes a feature staircase and lift and gallery display area at the upper level.
Tweedale worked closely with the M&E consultants in order to incorporate a number of 'green' measures in the design including solar shading, passive ventilation and cooling utilising thermal mass within the atrium space and night time ventilation.
