New £3 million headquarters for Fortress Interlocks located on the former GKN site in Wolverhampton.

The project includes a new production and warehouse facility and a two storey office with a full height atrium style entrance area.

Fortress Interlocks are relocating from their current site for which Tweedale have obtained planning permission for 24 dwellings.

The new headquaters is due for completion in 2008.

Tweedale have worked closely with the M&E consultants in order to incorporate a number of 'green' measures in the design including solar shading, passive ventilation and cooling utilising thermal mass within the atrium space and night time ventilation. The building when completed is intended to achieve a BREEAM rating of 'very good'.
